By simulating sneezing and the trajectory of the droplets, ANSYS illustrates how the droplets from an infected individual can affect others within one meter.

As the distance increases to two metres, the hit rate of the droplets also decreases drastically.

While these simulations are designed to model the physical manifestations in certain situations, other microclimate factors, such as humidity and wind speed, are not accounted. ANSYS Icepak uses the renowned ANSYS Fluent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver engine for accurate thermal and fluid flow calculations.
